Go Plus: Supplying 3 million electronic stickers to the "Interior" to be installed in cars
Hesham El-Sayed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Go Plus, a company specialized in logistics, technology and traffic systems, and supplier of the electronic poster of the Ministry of Interior, said that the company has so far received about 3 million electronic posters for traffic units to be installed in cars.
He added, during a round table held by the company today with a number of journalists, that the agreement with the Ministry of Interior provides for the supply of about 10 million posters by the end of June next year, and that the project cost is about 720 million pounds, for a period of 5 years.
Each electronic sticker carries an encrypted code. The technological devices located in specific places with the knowledge of the Ministry of Interior read this code to find out the vehicle's data and all its details.
According to the master, the label readers can read the encrypted code, even when the car is at a speed of 250 kilometers.
The electronic sticker is installed on each licensed car for 50 pounds per year.
Al-Sayed explained that the Ministry of Interior has published about 20 gates to read the electronic poster on the ring road and around Cairo Airport.
The Ministry of the Interior has started implementing the idea of an electronic vehicle sticker at the level of the Republic, through all traffic units.
According to previous data on the ministry, the poster includes the vehicle number and its registered data for computer inquiries, so that it provides an accurate information system about the vehicle.
