The Egyptian government, in cooperation with Aman, has launched a set of electronic traffic units deployed in the country to facilitate and better serve citizens. These units provide a variety of traffic services needed by any citizen who owns a car.

 

The most important service provided by the electronic traffic units is the technical inspection of cars throughout the week, from morning to evening. Through these units, you can also extract your own license, renew the vehicle's driver's license and replace it in case of damage as well.

 

The government has opened several electronic units in the vicinity of Cairo, including a unit in the City Stars Mall and another unit in Dandy Mall as well, and these units operate within the normal daily working hours of these commercial centers.

 

You are also able to request their county mobile traffic unit to get you to the nearest location and have your vehicle inspected and licensed under the house without ever leaving.

 

Services provided by the Electronic Traffic Unit

The unit provides a wide variety of services of interest to every citizen in Egypt. It also makes it easier for citizens to deal with traffic services and benefit greatly from them without being inconvenienced in the usual traffic centers or waiting for a long time.

 

Through the electronic traffic unit, you can do the following:

 

Technical vehicle inspection for vehicle licensing daily from ten in the morning until ten in the evening.

Obtaining and renewing all types of licenses, not just licensing cars for the first time.

Replace a damaged driver’s license and car license for all governorates of the Republic, and you can also easily replace a lost one.

Apply for and install the e-label directly without going to the traffic

Immediately print the license directly inside the electronic traffic unit and receive it within minutes

Send the license to the address registered in the electronic application entered by the citizen

Pay all the financial dues on the car license from violations and compulsory insurance through the use of the electronic payment visa.

Use of electronic traffic units

There is more than one way that allows you to use the services of the electronic traffic units, starting with booking an appointment with the unit and going at the same time, or going to the unit directly without booking any prior appointment or otherwise.

 

Book an appointment in the electronic traffic units

You need to meet a set of conditions when you apply for electronic traffic services, in addition to having a set of official papers with you while booking the service, which are:

 

A valid national ID card

A bank card to pay the fees as you can only pay with it

The vehicle must be my owner and less than 2030 cc or a motorcycle with the same conditions

Having a valid financial clearance certificate

Letter of lifting or renewing the bank ban for individuals only, not companies

Possible powers of attorney secured for one agent directly from the owner and must not pass four years since its issuance

Booking steps:

First go to the Egypt Gate website and then choose to book an appointment with the electronic traffic units, and choose I accept the terms and conditions.

 

After that, choose the service you want to perform, whether it is booking a new appointment, modifying an appointment you previously booked, or canceling an appointment.

 

After that, the page will take you to the data entry screen for your license, and here you will enter all the data required of you on the screen.

 

Then you wait for a while until an appointment is set for you and you are given a number for your reservation, and when you go to the electronic traffic unit, you provide this number, and you go at your pre-scheduled appointment.
