Obtaining traffic services is one of the stressful things that the Egyptian citizen suffers from due to the continued presence of a large role for the human element. Over the past years, we have noticed several efforts to develop this system on the part of the Ministry of Interior in coordination with many other ministries, but some challenges remain, such as The phenomenon of queues and waiting for long hours and others, until we were surprised a few days ago by the launch of the trial operation of the first electronic traffic unit, which prompted us in FollowICT to search for details of the story, and we reached officials at “Aman” company, the investment arm of the Ministry of Interior, to find out more details about the new direction and the future of Advanced traffic services.

 

 

Aman is the investment arm of the Ministry of Interior, and through it, many tasks are carried out for the benefit of the Egyptian citizen.

 

 

We recently launched the first electronic traffic unit, located inside the City Stars Mall on the seventh floor, through which citizens will be able to obtain traffic licensing services in a distinctive electronic form without the intervention of the human element except in providing technical support services only.

 

 

We are now in the trial operation phase of the first center of its kind in Egypt, and we have divided the development plan into several stages. We are now still in the first phase, which is the trial operation of the first center inside City Stars. After that, we will evaluate the experiment to ensure that it is completed successfully, and then we will By expanding within the different parts of the Republic, we have a plan to spread within Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, the Delta and other governorates, and the presence will be in major commercial malls.

 

 

We noticed that most citizens want to take advantage of the day off in order to finish some government matters, so the idea here was for the citizen and his family to come for a walk inside the mall and at the same time finish the necessary traffic services.

 

 

Very simply, when you want to renew a car license or issue a license or other services of the regular traffic units, you go to the unit and follow the procedures, and due to the crowding, this matter may take a whole day or more than a day, in addition to waiting in queues, paying manually and downloading the file And going to several windows and employees in order to obtain the service, but through the electronic traffic unit, the citizen can book an appointment through customer service and thus go to the appointment, submit documents and pay the fees at the end of obtaining the license, including providing a car inspection service.

 

 

You take your car to the mall, and you park the car in a designated parking space inside the mall garage, with a capacity of 25 cars per hour, and there are Aman employees, who perform the necessary technical inspection and give you the report quickly and without the need to go to the garage, all you have to do is Wait inside the unit on the seventh floor and all services will be terminated electronically, after which you will pay electronically also away from cash.

 

 

Indeed, this is what we seek to achieve through the electronic traffic unit. The citizen wants to obtain the service without obstacles, quickly without wasting time, and pays the required cost without having to pay any other money. This is what we do in record time according to the required service.

 

 

On the contrary, the cost will be much less than what the citizen currently pays, if we compare several factors that the citizen incurs in order to terminate the traffic services from the regular units.

 

 

There is no pricing, it is related to the services you want to obtain, whether you want to renew a license, issue a license for the first time, issue a replacement, modify license data or install an electronic sticker only, each service has its own price, and we reiterate that the payment is made electronically without human intervention.

 

 

The unit operates daily from ten in the morning until ten in the evening, all days of the week, including Friday.

 

 

There are no conditions at all, in contrast to normal traffic units that require that the citizen’s address be in the same residential area to which the unit belongs, as well as the car license. As for the electronic unit, there is no geographical requirement, so expatriates from the governorates can benefit from the services of the City Traffic Unit. New Stars is very normal.

 

 

We have approximately 20 administrative employees inside the branch on the seventh floor, along with about 20 technical employees in the garage in order to complete the technical checks for cars, this is in one job shift, and all of them are employees of a safety company and have been trained to provide service to the citizen with the highest degree of professionalism.

 

 

Within the electronic traffic unit, paper documents will not be relied upon, and therefore it was necessary to invest strongly in the system of securing transactions within this center, which has already been done in accordance with the highest security specifications followed globally in this field.
