Hisham El-Sayed: 2 billion pounds, the volume of cashless plus business in the Egyptian market
Hisham El-Sayed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cashless Plus, revealed that the ongoing consultations with the Central Bank of Egypt are nearing completion, to obtain approval for the launch of the Meeza card, and its distribution in many outlets in different parts of the Republic, during the next two months.
He added, in exclusive statements, that the company has a contract with a government bank, which he refused to reveal his name, and based on this contract, the company will be entrusted with distributing the card in many outlets, whether these outlets belong to the bank or other outlets affiliated with the company, pointing out that the number of the company’s outlets has reached about 250 ports.
Al-Sayed indicated that the year 2020 will witness the launch of a special application for the company, aimed at controlling the payment system by modern electronic methods. By the end of next year reach about 2 million customers.
He pointed out that the company contributes to activating all services related to financial inclusion, including helping the state achieve what is targeted on the one hand, controlling the informal economy system on the other hand, and eliminating corruption and fraud resulting from currency trading within the market, stressing that the company Interested in the payments market, enabling it to expand its own client base.
He pointed out that the company is currently studying the preparation of a special program for charging the electricity meter card online, so that this project will be one of the most important projects that it intends to launch in its target plan, and it is scheduled to present this program and ways to activate it to the Ministry of Electricity, but after its completion.
