In cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, Go Plus supplies 10 million cars with the electronic sticker
Go Plus, the Egyptian Company for Logistics Services, announced that it won the project for the unified electronic label for all vehicles in Egypt, using the “DNA Passive TAG” technology, which is applied by the Ministry of Interior for the first time in the world.
The technology “DNA Tag” includes recording the complete data of the car, and its original owner, so that this data can only be read through the competent authorities of the Ministry of Interior, and through the poster the violations committed by the driver of the vehicle can be edited, provided that the fine is according to the gravity of the violation legally, and send it in a copy Instantaneous access to central operating rooms without traffic man intervention.
Hisham El-Sayed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Go Plus, confirmed that his company will implement, supply, install and operate the electronic label for vehicles.. Noting that the project is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Administration of Traffic Information Systems, and the company was able to obtain The right to provide the service for a period of five years, during which 10 million vehicles will be supplied with this sticker, noting that the company has received about 3 million electronic stickers for traffic units to be installed in cars, and that all components of the system were manufactured in cooperation with European companies.
He pointed out that the system aims to ensure the “condition of streets, vehicles, and drivers” is the most important goal of this system, especially as it can identify vehicles required for security reasons, seize cars reported stolen, issue violations electronically, and notify the vehicle owner of them after recording his data, and the validity period of the license. This system can also determine the locations of traffic densities, and make instantaneous statistics on the condition of the streets.
He explained that the cost of the project is about 720 million pounds, and each electronic sticker carries an encrypted code. The technological devices located in specific places with the knowledge of the Ministry of Interior read this code to find out the car’s data and all its details.
According to the master; Label readers can read the encrypted code even when the car is at a speed of 250 km. The electronic label will be installed on each licensed car for 50 pounds per year. The project also includes the launch of a data center run by the Ministry of Interior, an electronic system for connectivity and gates to read the label on the highways.
He explained that the Ministry of Interior has published about 20 gates to read the electronic poster on the ring road and around the airport.
